Passive is the sixty-second skill (assuming read left to right) in the Turkish language tree. There are two lessons in this skill and it teaches how to form the passive mood in Turkish.
Grammar Notes[]
The passive mood can be used with any tense, and requires a slightly different construction:
- Stem + Passive particle + Regular tense information
What is the passive particle you ask? It depends on the ending of the verb stem:
- Verb stem ends in a vowel: -n-
- Verb stem ends in L: -In-
- Verb stem ends in a consonant other than L: -Il-
The last two follow four-way vowel harmony as usual.
