Continuous 1 is the sixteenth skill in the language tree for Turkish, with five lessons about how to use and construct the continuous tense in Turkish - in other words, how to say "I am doing something."
Grammar Notes[]
The present continuous tense is denoted using the particle -Iyor- in between the verb stem and the ending that depends on the pronoun. The only exceptions are that non-humans cannot take -lar at the end, and -dIr is not a possible ending. Sorry to any cats, trees, or cars the former may hurt.
But what's a verb stem? A verb stem depends on the verb, but it is the infinitive minus the -mAk at the end, so for istemek it is iste-; therefore, "I want this now" is (ben) bunu istiyorum, by putting together iste- + -iyor- + -um (as there's a vowel already at the end of iste-, the -e is replaced by the i of -iyor-).
