-(i)dIk is the sixtieth skill (assuming read left to right) in the Turkish language tree, and has two lessons. It teaches how to form relative clauses without using ki using the particle -(i)dIk.
Grammar Notes[]
A relative clause in English would be something like “A thing that I...” We’ve already learned about using ki for this, but there is a better way using this particle:
- Stem of a verb + (i)DIk + possesive for whoever’s doing the action in question + case (if needed)
If you want to talk about that time when you did something or something happened because you did something else, you can also use this particle. For “when” add the locative case to the word. For “because of” use the ablative. Note that the use of the locative and the ablative might still refer to being in a place or coming from it as usual.
