Family is the fifth skill (assuming read left to right) and the fifth unit in the Spanish language course. In the path, this unit is named "Describe your family".
Grammar Notes[]
Questions[]
You probably know that, in English, to make a sentence like: "You have a brother." In a question, you put the verb "to do" before the sentence and then end it in a question mark, so it looks like this: "Do you have a brother?" Well, in Spanish, it is much easier. "Tienes un hermano." can be transformed into a question just by adding two question marks; one at the start and one at the end, so it looks like this: "¿Tienes un hermano?"
The Importance of the Tilde[]
In English, words are written with just the twenty-six letters of the alphabet, no more, no less. But in Spanish, you can add diacritics called tildes over the vowels, that can change the meaning of a word. For example, tu means "your", but tú means "you". Papa means "potato", but papá means "dad". Lastly, se which means "himself / herself", but sé means "I know".
