  • deoch = a drink
  • sibh = you (plural)
  • ciamar a tha thu = how are you? (singular)
  • ciamar a tha sibh = how are you (plural)
  • tha gu math = well
  • tha gu dòigheil = really well
  • ist = hush
  • meal do naidheachd = congratulations
  • dè tha dol = what's happening, what's doing
  • chan eil càil = nothing at all
  • an-dràsta = just now

Lesson 2[]

  • tha Gàidhlig agam = I speak/have Gaelic
  • a bheil Gàidhlig agad = do you speak/have Gaelic
  • glè mhath = very good
  • tha fios agam = I know/I own
  • chan eil fios agam = I do not know
  • beagan = a little

Lesson 3[]

  • a h-uile duine = everybody
  • a ghràidh = love (vocative - used when addressing someone)
  • m' eudail = my darling
  • thig a-steach = come in (singular)
  • chì mi a-rithist thu = I will see you again (singular)

Lesson 4[]

  • agaibh = you have
  • meal do naidheachd = congratulations
  • thigibh a-steach = come in (plural)
  • Oighrig = Effie (name)
  • Eairdsidh = Archie (name)

Lesson 5[]

  • ag ionnsachadh = learning
  • a' bruidhinn = speaking
  • is = and (used in casual speech)
  • chì mi a-rithist sibh = I will see you again (plural)
