House is the forty-second (assuming read left to right) skill in the language tree for Russian. It contains six lessons, and it teaches the vocabulary for household objects and rooms.

Using compass directions[edit | edit source]

  • на + direction in Accusative = going [direction]
  • на + direction in Prepositional = in the [direction]
  • к + direction in Dative + от = to the [direction] of
  • с + direction in Genitive = from the [direction]

Pseudo-Passive[edit | edit source]

It is common in Russian to use third person plural conjugations without a subject to imply a passive voice sentence:

  • меня (они) зовут Том = (they) call me Tom = My name is Tom.
  • Так не (они) говорят = (they) do not talk that way = That isn't said that way.
