Romanian is an Eastern Romance language spoken by about 24 million people, primarily in Romania, Moldova and surrounding countries. The languages it shares the most similarities with are Italian and French. It uses the Latin alphabet, but the alphabet has a few more letters than the English Latin alphabet, and some letters are only used in loanwords.
