“ | We couldn't wait to share this duo, so today we're meeting one more pair of our characters! 💚 Say hello to Lucy and Lin! 👋 After Lin finishes a 4-minute task, she needs a 3-hour break. Moderation, right? If it’s between her motorcycle and anything… literally anything … the bike always wins. No question. 🏍️❤️ |

— Lin's official character bio[1] |
“ | Never having been on time, Lin's never held down a full time job. That's fine with her because she's been crashing at her paternal grandmother's apartment for a few years now, and she'd be happy to stay forever. It allows her the freedom to watch true crime series until 3AM and cruise on her motorcycle when she wakes up at 3PM. She dates sometimes, but only when it happens to fit into her busy schedule. | ” |
— Lin's description in a blog[2] |
Lin, more commonly referred to as Linda (リンダ, Rinda) is one of the Duolingo main characters who appear in the stories, lessons and other events. She is a laid-back, bohemian free-spirit granddaughter of Lucy.
