Lesson 1[]

車 (ku-ru-ma) = car (くるま)
電車 (den-sha) = train/trains (でんしゃ)
タクシー (ta-ku-shii) = taxi/taxis
乗る (no-ru) = ₍₁₎ to get on (train, plane, bus, ship, etc.); to get in; to board; (...) (v5r, vi) (のる)
乗ります (no-ri-ma-su) = I ride/take/get on (のります)
乗りません (no-ri-ma-se-n) = I do not ride/take/get on (のりません)

Lesson 2[]

鉄 (te-tsu) = iron (てつ)
地下鉄 (chi-ka-tetsu) = subway/subways (ちかてつ)
自転車 (ji-ten-sha) = bike/bicycle/bicycles (じてんしゃ)
使う (tsuka-u) = ₍₁₎ to use (a tool, method, etc.); to make use of; (...) (v5u, vt) (つかう)
使います (tsuka-i-ma-su) = I use/I will use it (つかいます) - [pronounced (ts-kai-masu)]

バス (ba-su) = bus/buses
空港 (kuu-kou) = airport (くうこう)
駅 (e-ki) = station/train station (えき)
歩く (aru-ku) = to walk (v5k, vi) (P) (あるく)
歩きます (aru-ki-masu) = I walk/I will walk (あるきます)
まで (ma-de) = to (a destination)

地図 (chi-zu) = map (ちず)
ホテル (ho-te-ru) = hotel
飛行機 (hi-kou-ki) = airplane/airplanes (ひこうき) - [pronounced with an almost silent "i" in the first syllable]

Lesson 5[]

遠い (too-i) = far (とおい)
近い (chika-i) = near (ちかい) - [pronounced with an almost silent "i" in the first syllable]
速い (haya-i) = fast (はやい)
遅い (oso-i) = slow/late (おそい)

Lesson 6[]

遠く (too-ku) = far away (とおく)
遠くない (too-ku-nai) = not far (とおくない)
近くない (chika-ku-nai) = not near (ちかくない)
速くない (haya-ku-nai) = not fast/quickly (はやくない)
遅くない (oso-ku-nai) = not late/slow (おそくない)
くらい (ku-rai) = about/around
かかり (ka-ka-ri) = take <- かかる (ka-ka-ru)
どれくらい (do-re-ku-rai) = how long/how much/how (measurement e.g. how strong)
かかりますか (ka-ka-ri-masu-ka) = will/does it take (time)
も (mo) = neither... nor (particle)
