Hiragana 2 is the second skill in the Japanese language course. It has five lessons and teaches new hiragana and vocabulary words, building on the characters taught in Hiragana 1.
Alphabet notes[]
Again, most hiragana characters sound similar to English, except the following:
- The r of る (and similar characters) is closer to the t in "butter" than the r; and
- The character す often just sounds like s followed by a puff of air rather than su when it comes at the end of a word.
