Greetings is the fifth skill (assuming read left to right) in the Japanese language course. It has 3 lessons and teaches some basic greetings.

Lesson 1[]
- 学生 (gakusei) = student (がくせい)
- 先生 (sensei) = teacher (せんせい)
- どうも (doumo) = thanks
- ありがとう (arigatou) = thank you (informal)
- ありがとうございます (arigatou gozaimasu) = thank you (formal)
- どうもありがとう (doumo arigatou) = thank you very much
- おはようございます (ohayou gozaimasu) = good morning (formal)
- ごめんなさい (gomennasai) = I'm sorry
Lesson 2[]
- お願い (onegai) = please (おねがい)
- よろしく (yoroshiku) = nice to meet you
- よろしくお願いします (yoroshiku onegaishimasu) = nice to meet you (formal)
- あ = ah/oh
- どうぞ (douzo) = here you are, here you go
- すみません (sumimasen) = excuse me, I'm sorry
- どうもすみません(doumosumimasen) = please excuse me
- どうもありがとうございます (doumo arigatou gozaimasu) = thank you very much (formal)
Lesson 3[]
- では (dewa) = well then
- じゃ (ja) = well then/so
- おやすみなさい (oyasuminasai) = good night
- こんばんは (konbanwa) = good evening
- こちらこそ (kochirakoso) = likewise, to you as well
- じゃあね (ja'ane) = bye
