Lesson 1[]

  • 様子 (yō-su) = situation/condition/how it goes
  • おかしい (o-ka-shi-i) = odd
  • おかしな所 (o-ka-shi-na-to-ko-ro) = something fishy / strange place
  • (ka-ta-chi) = shape (かたち)
  • ようだ = (it) appears to be
  • 頭がおかしく (a-ta-ma ga o-ka-shi-ku) = insane

Lesson 2[]

  • 壊れた (ko-wa-re-ta) = it broke
  • 素晴らしい (su-ba-ra-shi-i) = great/excellent (すばらしい)
  • 素晴らしく (su-ba-ra-shi-ku) = stunningly / wonderfully
  • 格好 (ka-kkō) = suitable / form (かっこう)
  • みたい (mi-ta-i) = looks

Lesson 3[]

  • 忙しそう (i-so-ga-shi-sō) = look/seem busy
  • 壊れそう (ko-wa-re-sō) = seems broken
  • 易しそう (ya-sa-shi-sō) = seems/looks easy
  • 変な (he-nna) = strange
  • 普通 (fu-tsū) = normal/ordinary/typical/average (ふつう)
  • スマホ = smartphone

Lesson 4[]

  • 美しい (u-tsu-ku-shi) = beautiful (うつくしい)
  • 厳しい (ki-bi-shii) = strict (きびしい)
  • 子供っぽい (ko-do-mo-ppoi) = childish
  • 水っぽく (mi-zu-ppo-ku) = watery
  • 本当らしく聞こえる (hon-tō-ra-shi-ku ki-ko-e-ru) = sounds true
  • なかなか (na-ka-na-ka) = quite

Lesson 5[]

  • 甘み (a-ma-mi) = sweetness
  • 大きな (ō-ki-na) = great / a lot / big
  • 少ない (su-ku-nai) = few / little
  • 痛み (i-ta-mi) = pain
  • 悲しみ (ka-na-shi-mi) = sadness/sorrow
  • 感じる (kan-ji-ru) = to feel
  • 背中に (se-na-ka ni) = in/on your back
  • どんな感じ (don'na kan-ji) = what is it like
  • ひどい (hi-do-i) = terrible/dreadful
  • これほど (ko-re-ho-do) = such as this
  • らしい (ra-shi-i) = apparently / It seems

Lesson 6[]

  • 最近 (sai-kin) = recently
  • 最新 (sai-shin) = latest
  • うまみ (u-ma-mi) = savouriness
  • 最悪 (sai-a-ku) = worst
  • 最も (mot-to-mo) = best / most
  • 最高 (sai-kō) = the best/greatest / the highest
  • 最後 (sai-go) = last
  • 最初 (sai-sho) = first
