Basics 2 is the 3rd skill (assuming read left to right) in the High Valyrian language course. It has 3 lessons. It leads on from Basics 1 by introducing the accusative case. Make sure you've fully understood Basics 1 before taking on this skill.
Grammar Notes[]
The accusative case gets introduced here. It's when a verb acts on a noun
- The girl sees: Riña urnes.
- The man sees a girl" - "a girl" will take the accusative form in High Valyrian: Vala riñe urnes.
The accusative form changes singular nouns from an 'a' ending to an 'e' ending: Vala - Vale
For plural nouns it changes from 'i' to 'ī': Vale - Valī
Other words change in different ways: Azantys - Azanti. We will see the difference in the Solar lesson.
