Plurals is the tenth skill (assuming read left to right) in the Hebrew language tree. It has four lessons and teaches how to form plurals in Hebrew.
Grammar Notes[]
Hebrew has two endings for plurals:
- יִם - for masculine nouns
- ות - for feminine nouns
You also need to remove the ה ending of a word before making it into a plural.
Despite this simple system, there are a few irregularities. For example, יינות is the plural of "wine", despite it being a masculine noun. These are relatively rare and have to be memorized.
