Imperative 2 is the fifty-seventh skill (assuming read left to right) in the Hebrew language tree. It has three lessons that teach how to form the imperative of the final active binyan, ni'fal, as well as how to say "let's" in Hebrew.

Grammar Notes[]

Let's do it![]

The verb "to come" is used to make this expression in Hebrew, where it is followed by the future tense for the main action:

  • !בוא נאכל = Let's eat! (literally: Come, we will eat)

Ni'fal imperatives[]

Ni'fal verbs that are active can have an imperative form like other active verbs. As an example, here is the table for להכנס:

Masculine Feminine Plural
היכנס (hikanes) היכנסי (hikansi) היכנסו (hikansu)

Note that the usual ni- of ni'fal verbs changes to hi- in the imperative tense.
