ʻOhana is the 6th skill (assuming read left to right) in the Hawaiian language course. It has 4 lessons in which you learn about family in Hawaiian. It also teaches some adjectives.

  • ka makuahine = the mom/mother/mum
  • ka makua kāne = the dad/father
  • Oʻahu = Oʻahu (name of a place)
  • Niʻihau = Ni'ihau (name of a place)
  • Molokaʻi =  Molokaʻi (name of a place)
  • ʻohana = family
  • kou = kou (sound)

  • tūtū kāne = grandfather/grandpa/grandad
  • tūtū wahine = grandmother/grandma

  • ʻanakala = uncle/uncles

  • pōkole = short
  • lōʻihi = tall/long
  • ʻoluʻolu = nice/pleasant/kind
  • akamai = smart
  • uʻi = beautiful/young/pretty/youthful
