German Skill:Dreams

Dreams is the sixty-fourth skill in the German language tree on Duolingo. The five lessons of the skill discuss dream jobs, dream vacations, and other things people want to do in the future.

Grammar Notes[]

Was wirst du?[]

The verb werden in German both means "to become" - which is mostly how it's used in this skill - and is also the verb used for the future tense. It is also irregular for du and er/sie/es:

Du hast mir gesagt, du wirst Ingenieurin. = You told me you will become an engineer.
Er wird in Indien reisen. = He will travel to India.

The other forms are regular in the present tense.
