Dutch (Netherlands) for English is a Duolingo language course teaching Dutch to speakers of English. It was built in the Incubator and exited Beta on January 20, 2015.
The course emphasizes "everyday" Dutch, as spoken in the Netherlands, and does not teach Flemish (a dialect of Dutch from Flanders, Belgium) nor accept it in translations. Similarly, the cultural content focuses on the Netherlands, with a few references to Belgium. This emphasis exists because a Flemish for English course is expected in the future.[1]
