Word Order 1 is the nineteenth skill in the language tree for Dutch and has one lesson. This skill teaches the placement of adverbs and teaches a couple of them.
Grammar Notes[]
Adverbs in Dutch always come in any of these three places, depending on various factors:
- Always after a definitive object: Ik eet de boterham nu.
- Always before an indefinite object: Ik eet nu elke boterham.
- At the beginning of a sentence for emphasis. As this changes the word order through a process called inversion, it's in the next skill.
Lesson[]
- nu = now
- soms = sometimes
- daar = there
- hier = here
- misschien = maybe
