Objective Pronouns is the thirteenth (assuming left to right) skill in the Dutch language tree. In these two lessons, the learner of Dutch is introduced to the objective pronouns, whose English equivalents include me, us, and them.
Tips and notes Edit
Dutch has two sets of objective pronouns, the first being unstressed and the second is stressed:
|English||Dutch unstressed||Dutch stressed|
|you (sg. inf.)||je||jou|
|you (pl. inf.)||jullie||jullie|
*Het does not have a stressed form.
**Hun is used as an indirect object, and hen is used after prepositions or as a direct object. When in doubt, ze is always completely acceptable.
